While some sports enthusiasts love to watch the Super Bowl, there is alternative viewing for animal lovers.  The Puppy Bowl, on Animal Planet and the Kitten Bowl on Hallmark channel is an annual favorite.  Not only are they super cute and fun, the idea is to bring awareness and adopt the rescue puppies and kittens.  And, this year there is even a dog bowl for older rescue dogs that need homes!

The Puppy Bowl has more than 90 dogs and 48 rescues

Puppy Bowl XIV is packed with more than 90 baby dogs from upwards of 48 rescues.  These adorable contenders will be divided into “Team Ruff” and “Team Fluff” for the big game, in a brand new stadium, where every puppy will be competing for the Chewy.com “Lombarky” trophy and Bissel’s MVP (Most Valuable Puppy) award.

The Puppy bowl will even include a piano-playing chicken

These furry footballers will be joined by Jokgu the piano-playing chicken, who will be pecking out the national anthem, plus baby barnyard animal cheerleaders and a rescue sloth referee.   The adorable puppies will be shown with all their cuteness on Sunday, Feb. 4, at 3 p.m. ET on Animal Planet.

The Kitten Bowl also features adoptable kitties and those displaced from the recent wildfires

Hallmark Channel hosts the nation’s most beloved rescue pet adoption event of the year when “Kitten Bowl V” premieres exclusively on the network, Sunday, February 4, 2018 at 12/11c. The 2018 version of “Kitten Bowl” features countless displaced kittens rescued from the country’s most recent natural disasters, all of whom will be vying for the National Championship of Feline Football trophy — and a loving, forever home in which to display it.

Beth Stern, a huge animal advocate, hosts the event

TV personality, author and animal advocate Beth Stern hosts this year’s event from Hallmark Channel Stadium. Stern embodies the spirit of adoption in her everyday life, having fostered countless animals in need. Stern’s tireless year-round efforts to find homes for animals makes her a synergistic fit to lead the charge for “Kitten Bowl V,” truly a super day of Adorable Pets.

On the day of the big game, four-time Pro Bowl quarterback and Feline Football League Commissioner Boomer Esiason calls the play-by-play action making “Kitten Bowl V” super Sunday’s MUST SEE viewing party. Hallmark Channel’s Dean Cain and Alison Sweeney, animal lovers and adoption advocates, provide commentary throughout the event, in addition to heartwarming adoption stories.

Mark your calendars as the Kitten Bowl and Puppy Bowl are super-cute and awe inspiring!
