Clear the Shelters, on July 23rd, Lowers Adoption Fees!
21 July, 2016

Animal shelters across the country will come together July 23 for Clear the Shelters, a nationwide pet adoption initiative that aims to connect animals in need with loving new families. Most cities are participating in their own program which is a nationwide awareness to try to literally clear the shelters!
To find more information about Clear the Shelters near you, go to Clear the Shelters and see your city on their map for the participating shelters.
NBC4 Southern California and Telemundo 52 Los Angeles are bringing back Clear the Shelters for a second year on July 23, 2016.
What is Clear the Shelters?
Clear the Shelters was created to help address the overcrowding of animals at animal shelters in the Southland and raise awareness about the benefits of adopting from a local shelter. In 2015, the largest single day pet adoption drive in Southern California resulted in more than 2,500 animals adopted, and 20,000 adoptions throughout the country.
More than 55 shelters/rescue organizations participating. Adoptions fees are reduced to $20 for one day only. Visit any of the the following shelters below on July 23. For a complete map, visit NBCLA.com/CleartheShelters.NBC4.
